It should be realised that AFAIK, those x and y coordinates only apply to style 1 (the linear gradient), despite you showing them on all your examples. They don't seem to have any effect on the other styles. Nor it seems is there a way to specify the shape of the curve followed (i.e. "stop" points along the way): it is always linear.
