@AnnaSartin Unappreciated because it's just not that good. Don't get me wrong; it has its place in my heart. But it's frustratingly complicated all too often, and sometimes impossible without a walkthrough (wooden stake, tornado teleport, etc). Losing an entire stockpile of hearts after dying is plain cruel. But the music is some of the best on the NES, and the level design is on par with the creepiness of the series. It's in my NES collection and l still play it, but mostly for the nostalgia.

The only reaons that made me hate this game was the constant pausing to switch from day to night...and then the cryptic kneel on this ledge with the ruby in hand or whatever...back before the days of the internet this meant your rental was a complete bust if there was no magazine or a friend in town that had played the game or had the magazine.
when I was a kid when this game came out that was a serious hinderance.

Thanks so much for posting this great music!!!

This song and Heart of Fire are like the same

you always hear about people claiming nobuo uematsu to be the most amazing composer, yet no one mentions these pieces of gold from konami.

Definitely not the best game, but I think this might be the greatest (at least, in my opinion) Castlevania composition.

Simon's Quest will never be as good as Castlevania or Dracula's Curse, but if you know how to play it, it's a really good way to introduce someone to the series because it is the easiest to complete.

I have to say, though some parts can be dick-ish, and it can be cryptic as ALL fuck, I love this game to death. And even if you didn't like the game, the music is BADASS, you you know it!.

@AnnaSartin Jumps are frustrating, enemy placements are cookie cutter, grinding for hearts is a chore, running around is tiring, dialogue confuses you, all the colors are muddy its a fucking mess!

I loved the Day/Night System.
Though it happened a little to fast.
One of the greatest but most unappreciated Castlevania game ever made...

I actually liked the game. At least it killed a few hours of boredom. Simon made me want to be a vampire hunter when I was young.
