Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy and director James Bobin talk at a press conference in London for The Muppets after the film's UK premiere. The film marks a triumphant return to the big screen for Jim Henson's beloved puppet creations.

Kermit and Director James talk about the oscar nominated soundtrack to the new film written by Flight Of The Conchords star Bret McKenzie.

In their latest adventure the Muppets find their beloved Muppet Theatre at risk from greedy oil tycoon Tex Richman. With a little help from some new friends, they have no choice but to stage a spectacular comeback show to raise the money in time to save their home.

The film stars everyone's favourite characters including Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Animal, Gonzo and Fozzie Bear. The film also introduces the newest Muppet Walter and a host of human stars. Jason Segel, Amy Adams, Jack Black, Rashida Jones and Chris Cooper all join the fun.

  • This makes me happy from head to toes. Adore each and every Muppet and am thrilled that one of the key band members of FOTC has shared his artistry with the beauty and the beasts. I think Bret should make room for that gold dude.

  • Go Bret!!

  • @loobsy1 Well actually.... CBS was already impressed by Hensons commercials and numerous TV specials and how successful they had been in North America and had already agreed to show it in syndication when ATV took it on for production. ATV was pretty much in a "no risk" position as they already had an overseas pre-sale.

  • The original Muppet Show was filmed here in the UK as none of the American Networks would take it on, whereas the British have always got the muppets sense of humour!
