Ripping up some .125" aluminum sheets. It comes in 10 foot lengths so using the ShopBot to rip down into more reasonable sized pieces makes for good practice getting feeds right. This is being cut in two passes at 1 ips (inch per second) at 18,000 RPOM. This makes good chips and keeps the bit cool while leaving a clean finished edge.

  • Thanks! Been scratching my head trying to figure out the right bits, feeds, and speeds for aluminum. It looks like your setup gets a better edge finish than any other ShopBot videos on here :)
