Hey Tom,
Did You notice that there's a TEDtalksDirector channel on YouTube that recently uploaded onto YouTube these TED talks you were vlogging (including the Lawrence Lessig one)? I just watched the Lessig talk and I was glad to finally see it. Maybe you should submit this video as a video response to the one uploaded by TEDtalksDirector titled "Larry Lessig: How Creativity is being strangled by the law"
Thanks again for letting me know about this lecture months ago :-)

I'm glad you're sharing this experience with all of us Tom, big thanks. I'm envious. :-D
the globe has been warming and cooling before we even got here so I don't think we're causing it, however, this fear of warming will reduce polution which can't be a bad thing. :)

Well, there are plenty of scientists who disagree with you but that doesn't make it so. The evidence I see makes me believe human activity is contributing significantly to the problem. As you say, however, we know pollution of the planet cannot be a good thing, which makes the efforts important either way. Thanks.

Tom, well it is true that Global Warming occurs naturally through internal processes and through external processes such as Volcanoes and solar activity, the question as to whether or not humans have contributed to global warming at dangerous levels, has been answered. Yes.
There are few Scientist today that dispute this, the evidence is overwhelming and clear. The argument today is more political than scientific, scientist already know the answer.

That is certainly my belief. For some reason there are those who question the overwhelming evidence based on Mesozoic era phenomena. I'd add "psychological" to "political" as a reason for doubt. That doesn't mean "crazy" it means skeptical for reasons beyond reason.

Sounds like a great conference. Do you meet many of the same people each year?

Yes, over the years I've made both friends and acquaintances here. Many people come back because it's such a high quality event.
