Most of John's unknown songs would be greatest hits for most singer/ songwriters today. He has set the bar for talent, versatility, and most importantly, the drive & work ethic to keep valuable music coming for his loyal fans. Their wont be another like him.. Anyway, Thats just what I think.

That's why I like John... People screamed to stick with the bluesy stuff, and he basically said that it was still there, but that's not the music playing in his head at the moment... That's what makes a true artist for me... The guy follows the music and plays to it rather than to the public now. This album (like all the others) will be different and awesome.

I disagree,I think as we all grow so does our position or the way we do our jobs...in whatever career we are in . In a "job" where you are emotionally,and physically connected it will be constantly changing. I really liked battle studies also and no matter what i still hear his individuality in it.

Young and Dylan are both phenominal, but I didn;t see john as one of them. I kinda liked battle studies despite its bad reviews. Its weird what hes doing I think now... its like hes freaked out dropped everything and then started again... There are already people that have been doing this sound successfully in modern music. I just think Johns going to lose his position as the one decent artist that can crack the pop charts witth songs that have true music in them and become more of an alternativ

I dont really get it... most artists start off as simple acoustic singing then end up building into a whole band toward the mid-range of their career... I just dont get the direction john is going in. I think he should have just gone back to the Trio more blues stuff. Its like hes got so far then just thought hold on I want to drop all my fans and start again as a Neil Young / Bob Dylan act. I thought he already did hes acoustic side on Room for Squares... This isn't him to me...

I think this album is going to be such a amazing way to see someone write that's hit bottom emotionally , came to see faults and choices in life but most of all thankful for them to have made the person that's capable of admitting its made them a better person.

@zwebster97 How's he a Dylan wannabe? He has a whole different playing style.... Not to mention a way different lyrical style. I'm pretty sure he's allowed to play harmonica without you saying he wants to be Dylan. Dylan's also a pillar in music. You don't even understand how much music would be different without Dylan's inspiration, lyrics, and persona in general.
