How to soft unlock a 3G iPhone (using Yellowsn0w 0.9.4)

This video shows a 3G iPhone after using Yellowsn0w 0.9.4 by the Dev Team. Multiple SIMs from different carriers are used WITHOUT rebooting the phone at any point. All carriers were detected within a few seconds.

These are the basic steps, full details are on the Dev Team's blog, please go there if you have any doubt about the steps.

The iPhone 3G unlock (YellowSn0w) works with 2.2 firmware which updates the baseband to 02.28.00.

These are the steps I used.

1)Use iTunes to update your 3G iPhone to 2.2 Firmware. Yellowsn0w ONLY works with this firmware version.

2)Use Quickpwn 2.2 to jailbreak your iPhone 3G with QuickPWN 2.2. This will add the Cydia and Installer applications to your iPhone which you will need shortly.

3)Go to the Dev Teams blog to obtain the Cydia source details. http://blog.iphone-dev.org/
When you have this source, and after jailbreaking your iPhone, open Cydia and add the new source.

4)Open the Cydia application and install YellowSn0w, my version is 0.9.4. (current version is 0.9.5)

5)Reboot your iPhone.

6)Replace with the SIM you want to use.

7) Use at will.

could it not work cause i unlocked it with 0.9.1 will it lock my iphone if i update it to 0.9.5 or 0.9.4

Open Cydia, it should detect that there is an update for Yellowsn0w, click to apply the update to 0.9.5.

I am currently uploading a 2nd video to show I have exactly the same success as with the previous version.
