It's interesting to me to think of forgiveness in terms of the Lord's viewpoint-what he suffered is far beyond anything we will ever suffer, and he paid the price for all of us, yet willingly forgives, even though He has all the justification for not forgiving. His example of forgiveness should be a gentle reminder of how silly and un-Christlike it is for us to hold grudges against one another, to make mountains out of molehills for the little or even big hurts.
