@SamsungUK Will they be releasing a software update and maybe a gadget which will allow previous Samsung Smart TV's to do this as well.
I don't want to feel conned by Samsung after paying £3000 for a Samsung UE55D8000, that I won't receive any of these features. That's what I thought the app store was for.
Will the evolution kit work with D8000s?

provided the TV is making the sound, then it is easy to cancel that out from the sound being heard - this is exactly the same mechanism used by noise cancelling headphones - they have a microphone and they play back a 'negative' version of the same sound to cancel it out.
Most of these things work by having a prefix - like SmartTV - that you have to say each and every time before you say a command.
My main problem with this is that I don't control the channels or the volume through the TV

The question is how fine can the system separate voice commands coming in from the user especially with all the surrounding TV noise. Unless there is a method to clearly separate the user's voice from the noise coming out from the TV there is no real use for voice commands.
