Vladimir Putin, the Russian president, told the country to vote for his United Russia party, saying the good work done by them will otherwise be undone.

Parliamentary elections take place in Russia on Sunday, but there's been criticism that campaigning has been far from fair.

  • In Russia he's respected, over here we cry "democracy." Over here the American president is respected (ok sometimes), other parts of the world not so much. Let Russians choose for Russia.

  • there should be private television and private news stations

  • Um, conspiracy theory? It is proven fact, that Al Gore won in 2000, no conspiracy here.

  • at least putin did not start any wars. especially for oil!

    how come bush is better?

  • you think your self more clever as the russians? you think that russians are stupid?!? you are a racist!!

  • What do you know about Yeltsin and Gorbachev? They are stupid fat bureaucrats who ruined big country. They signed so many papers which harmed Russia and took so many loans that they had to quit before they got locked. Putin is the first Russian president of whom Russians are not ashamed. Unlike other current leaders he is well educated. He corrects interpreters when they make mistakes, he operates history facts answering journalists' questions and he didn't fucked up any interview or meeting.

  • Russian people will regret very much if they choose Putin. He is a new dictator. And you are all going to be slaves of his cult. Except, Boris Yeltsin and Mihhail Gorbachev, Russians are not capable of choose a normal leaders.
