That's right, no boring political talk here, ever. You have my word.

  • Do you have to edit your video, I mean a lot of people do it but I prefer a good one shot rant with natural pauses. it flows better. I still like your videos and I to hate politics.

  • on videos like this, I have written down what I'm going to say and work off of notes. I pause to make sure I've said appropriately what I want to say and I make a lot of mistakes.

  • I completely disagree. Arguing is not only an assertion of a personal belief, but a strengthening, or possibly a weakening, of something you thought you understood perfectly.

    I'd be surprised if someone out there has the best solution to every problem. It's safe to assume that my beliefs, as well as the others around me, are imperfect and that we would suffer no harm by dropping the lesser argument. Of course, such arguments and considerations take time, and many people are impatient.

  • good point, but I still don't see many people changing their minds from conversations about politics. I think that maybe research might be more helpful than arguments.

  • I like talking about politics but not debating politics. I try to be as open-minded as possible but some people will automatically hate you because you have different political beliefs, and I think that is just stupid. In the end, we're all trying to make our society better. we just define "better" differently.

  • This makes you my favorite person of all time.

  • oh my god I hate politics. Its pretty much a bunch of idiots who want to spend tax dollars on another fucking election every 6 months. I don't know about the rest of you, but the Candian Government only has a few pros, and a shitload of cons. Maybe life would be better without gov't. I guess I'll never know...

  • I feel the same way for the most part... I only really debate about religion (well only one in particular really) since I like to point out flaws and contradictions... This usually leads them to ramble causing the intelligent conversation lead to a mindless argument.

  • Its understandable, you live in the USA, in America this is how it works out.

    Capatalism = good

    Communism = bad

    It doesn't matter that in theory communism is the better system if implemented and maintained properly, capatalism will always be glorified because the people who make those well known opinions are the fat cats on top who have no politcal power and will lose if a communist regime is implemented in their country. 1% of the worlds population controls 99% of the wealth.

  • It's not always a dick-waving contest. If I can show (which isn't quite the same as proving) that public health care statistically kills more people than it saves (which is hypothetical and probably not the case) your opinion is likely to change.

    People who think they're arguing politics usually argue whatever is the currently popular bigotry, and nothing else. Want of critical thinking renders most discourse utterly vapid, even if one is articulate and informed about the issues.

  • OMG! You are so right!!!! I hate people who are so over-zealous about their faction that they have to be so annoying and argue endlessly! There should be no political parties!!!!! A politician should represent themself, and be judged on strictly their moral values and not what faction they belong to!

  • the other side is full of idiots and i am angry anyway!!!!!

  • dude, political parties ARE religions

  • I don't mind talking about politics as long as it's with friends who I know won't get too fired up about it, and I like to think we're both open-minded enough to not get stuck on our opinions. I don't spend much time keeping up with the news, so I'll tell them my views and reasoning on an issue, they'll either agree or refute something I said, and if it's the latter and I decide their argument makes more sense, I change my opinion. *shrug* Not a big deal as long as it's not with strangers.
