How does that answer the point that the video is not the original from 1972 ? There are 3 things that indicate it was made at a later date. The portable stereo on a table and "Roswell type" alien on the green faced character's T shirt - niether of those were around in the early '70's.
The "I WANT TO BELIEVE" poster on the wall in one scene. As this is from the
"X FILES" TV series, which didn't start until 1993, it can't feature in a film made over 20 years earlier.

@MRROCKET23 You're right about this not being the original promo film. The original 1972 film clip - with the walking pillar-box, mincing morris dancers and JK himself - was shot specifically for use on "Top Of The Pops", and still exists in full as a stand-alone clip in the BBC archives. However, none of the editions of TOTP which showed it have survived.
@mrrocket23 I agree i remember the same real original 1972 Top of the Pops video withy pillar boxes with people inside, walking down the road.

@DrSativa Well the luck has changed for the BBC in its cenorship. That JK was chopped out in the late-night version of 15/07/1976 due to stroppy advertisements being long at 1am, that was a few days ago. The next time we'll see him edited again is in 2 years time, in which he had another big hit of a cover of the La Bionda classic, well cenorship is more to come from GG edited in the New Year in the 1977 repeats.

I dont think this is the original promo for LOOP DI LOVE, I have a vague recollection of watching a film for it on TOTP (R.I.P) and there being a kind of fake pillar box with someone inside it walking along, in accordance with the line "I saw you walking down the street" etc. There was a very breif clip of it on a Jonathan King documentary or TV profile or whatever a short while back. Also the people in the film shown dont look like they're from the early 1970's period they a bit '80's.

@MRROCKET23 Well the video had despite a showing on VH-1 in the U.S. in the 80's and then that was it, they stopped showing it in 1995.
