Sri Lankan TROOPS serving in Haitin under a United Nations Peacekeeping Mission, raped women and girls some as young as 7 years old. 200 soldiers have been sent back to Sri Lanka. Investigations are continuing.

@JHAMES83 Please...114 is not a small number and it not only indicates that a large number of troops participated in the sexual exploitation and abuse of young girls, but it also suggests that many others, at the very least, choose not to say anything. The reason this many troops commited these acts and thought they could get away with it, is because they were simply carrying on a time honoured tradition within the SL Army and unfortunately non-Tamils were also the victims this time

@1srilankanguy Yes Im sure those young Haitian girls and women who reported the rape were actually LLTE cadres.....SERIOUSLY can you say anything that doesnt insult our inteligence?! Those kinds of lazy, intelectually dishonest cover up tactics may work wonders in a country such as Sri Lanka which has no press freedom or tolerance for political dissidence, but in the democratic world, people are alot smarter.

I shared in many times patrols with sri lanka troop, and I know the very well, wnoght to say that they are good soldiers, if this happened in the past, is not a fact blame the whole sri lanka military, I truly support the goos soldiers who shared many experiences in the field........
