now post some more from that day! i was always taught to mount the guards horizontal, that way there is less tendency to be deflected "down" if you hit something. they would be more likely to deflect "up" if they were mounted "high". google "handguard installation" or even do a search on here. going over the bars is pretty daggone rare! after 32 years of riding maybe i've just learned to let go!

Not a lot of apparent difference is there?
I see you all run ya barkbusters pretty high, as in horizontal, ya not worried about snapping ya wrists if you go over the bars?
As much as 45 degrees down from flat is where we tend to run them over here, the levers are still protected which is why i run BB's, not so much for hand protection but they are still protected from hits against trees, horizontal branches/blackberries do tend to smack the knuckles but i would rather that than a broke wrist.
To me, the 1080p is MUCH more crisp. Look again closely. :p
I can't speak for my buddies, but I don't worry much about going over the bars. I'd rather have the hand protection as many of the trails I ride are tight & trees have a tendency to jump out in front of me! I have been meaning to angle them down just slightly though. Haven't gotten around to it.
