Human Nature, Creativity and the New Young One

A clip from Brian Swimme's video #8 of "Canticle to the Cosmos" ( http://www.brianswimme.org/store/default.asp ), where he addresses the nature of the human in the context of the unfolding/story of the Universe. He says that the human is the species that not only notices Earth-Sun events such as the seasonal transitions (like for example the Winter Solstice) and other phenomena of existence, but also has made it a priority to celebrate them and to wonder about them, to make arts and culture of them. In this particular clip Swimme notes the quality of the Child that the human retains and actually may aspire to. In PaGaian Cosmology (see http://pagaian.org ) this quality is identified as "the New Young One", the "Urge to Be", a Cosmic Virgin quality, which is celebrated in the Early Spring ritual of Imbolc.
