You think that it matters what country U.S. is bombimng unless it is Finland. It might matter if it were some other country than Sweden or Russis:

The concert left many good memories: Bruce in good mood, having a good time with the public etc. I hope that he will never stop making tours. The man is really a living legend. It is strange thing how some performers come so close to you. Bruce is one of them. I like also Eddie Vedder. Look Eddie&Springsteen performing together "No surrender".

I agree with rrrrane. Fans know what the song is about. :)
Amazing gig, I was in the front raw, and only when I touched his hand did I realise that he's flesh and blood, a human, just like all of us.

hei Bossanova, I think many Finns and all the fans know that "Born in the USA" is strong anti-war and anti-militant song. The fact that chorus goes "born in USA" should not shadow that fact - one should always listen all the words, not just chorus...
btw, I was in Helsinki concert, 2nd row, truly amazing experience. I seen Bruce several times but this was the best ever.

Bossanova STFU! i was there never had such as an experience before it was incredible, The Boss (bruce) singing and This song. it's incredible!
Of course the large majority of Bruce Springsteen fans know what this song is about - don't know what Bossanova is going on about! But it is not even particularly an anti-war song, it's a song about how badly Vietnam war veterans were treated when they came back from the war.
But all this is irrelevant. People go to Bruce's concerts to enjoy the music - not agonise about the rights and wrongs of American foreign policy!

I was about 5 rows deep at Helsinki. I am from Freehold, NJ (mine and Bruce's hometown) and I can tell you that yes, as so many know, Born in the USA is a protest song. Bossanova, welcome to a discussion that has been going on for the past 24 years. The song that is now more relevant to what is going on and all should go back and listen to is "A Long Walk Home". America, our strength, is in small town life and thanks to Bush. We have lost our way and now, post-Bush it will be a LONG WALK HOME!
