This is from the original Socom game on the Playstation 2, and is part 1 a documentary about the Navy Seals contained on the game disk.
This is an interesting look into Seal training, a little bit of Seal history, and even a look into SWCC boat operators.
This is an interesting watch for those interested in the subject.
You can't compare SEALs and SAS, the closest British equivalent is the SBS.
SBS soldiers have to complete SAS training, and then go on to doing water based phases.
To be in the SAS you have to have served for 3 years, unlike Delta where you can apply straight from basic. And you then go on to train to be SBS.
All in all, training for the SAS or SBS is a LOT harder than SEALs or Delta.

@jonovski21 just because u train longer doesnt make u invincible. 1 bullet to the head is usually a kill.

@jonovski21 (cont.) Once you reach a team it's an additional 6-12 months of pre-deployment training to even be considered eligible to go operational.

@jonovski21 You should do more research before posting ridiculous comments. Although you can go into the SEAL training pipeline right out of boot, it's much longer than six months. BUD/s is indeed 6 months long but it's only the basics. It's meant to test your mettle and drive while giving you the barebones minimum skills that seals require. Successful completion grants you entry into SQT (additional 7 months) training where you qualify to be a SEAL...

@1207tbone How is the SAS a joke compared to this? You can join the seals from civi life and training is 6 months. To join the SAS you have to have to have served for 3 years and then undergo months in basic. Months in jungle training months in desert. Months in cold weather training and even once you have passes selection you are on a probation for a year in which you can be kicked out without notice

I wonder if I could complete the course...
Not the strongest, but boy, am I stubborn. To admit defeat is perhaps the hardest thing I know in life.
