Amir Khan goes toe to toe with three-weight world champion Marco Antonio Barrera on Saturday admitting this fight is even more important to him than the 2004 Olympic final.

The 22-year-old from Bolton claimed the silver medal in Athens before turning professional and quickly amassing an unbeaten 18-fight record. However, Khan was stunned by Colombian Breidis Prescott in a first-round knockout defeat last September.

Khan, who returned to the ring with an easy win over Oisin Fagan before Christmas, said: "This fight is make or break for me and that motivates me. This is going to bring the best out of Amir Khan. Afterwards, there will be no questions about me."

He added: "I'm ready for anything. I'm coming into the fight fearless.

"This is more important than the Olympic final, it is a different chapter in my career and what a fight it's going to be."
