I guess I should have made myself clearer! Of course, I meant the greeish color that the previous owner painted it, not to mention the silver portholes.A few years ago, I did the Tamiya Yamato-its sister ship and I did the hull in neutral gray with maybe 5% blue added. I`m a ship builder and one of my clubs used to have a show at South St seaport in NY. A retired gentleman did the Akagi in a green color, and it looked good. A scratchbuilt R/C model about 2 feet long. Take care!

@loufalce thx for the clarification!

@loufalce Yah the japan camo ships used a drab green/black/grey scheme. I have a japan escort carrier in 1:700 I plan to paint in camo!

What kind of boob paints a battleship in these colors?
loufalce 4 months ago
@loufalce which colors do you mean? The hull color is a little too blue and I'll probably repaint that to a little less blue (japanese grey is 70% white, 20% black, and 10% blue). The deck is almond and matches up with colorized pics from the imperial japanese war museum. If you're talking about the green and the horrid tan that the model was painted before I bought it, then I agree. lol

@batleamster23 don't know it's not finished! have to do a bunch of fabrication or find another kit for missing parts!
