Growing human population has increased deforestation in Africa, which reduces chimpanzee habitat, driving the species toward extinction, and accelerates climate change. The Jane Goodall Institute works with local villagers to teach reforestation and sustainable farming methods to help preserve the rainforests of Africa.

  • @WILDLIFEfund You do realize the West has no problem with overpopulation, right? We have fertility rates below the number needed to sustain the same population. Some European countries are falling in population.

The largest unsustainable growth is from sub-Saharan Africa, they gone from 100 million a few decades ago, to over 1 billion today.

  • God bless you!!! :D

finnaly I found a sort of "HQ" reportation about deforestation

  • The day UNkind MANkind starts managing their own numbers and destructive behaviour instead of that of other species, only then will the earth starts to benefit and heal!

Thank you Jane, for a lifetime dedicated to help preserving LIFE on earth!!!

  • Thank you Jane and all : )
