Shark Fishing with OutdoorPAGES 02

This 131 kg Bronze Whaler Shark (Bronzie) was caught in Angola, Africa, on a fishing safari with kisusuli safaris (kisusuli-safaris.co.za). The angler, Dominic was hugely excited when this fish took his bait. The fight lasted about an hour and from the footage you will see it gave Dominic the fight of his life. This fish is his personal best for the species and I am sure the memory of this catch will stay with him for a long long time. .55 mm mono, Double X high abrasion. If you don't fight them hard (horse them out) they will keep you busy for hours and you will eventually lose them. We used a 3m coated steel trace of 200lbs with a 1mm mono leader of about 7 metres. Two 10/0 hooks, shad head as bait.
