GTA IV PS3 Freeze

***READ THIS FIRST***

DISABLING THE INTERNET DOESN'T WORK!!!!!!!

There is a new patch out for those who were able to play by disabling the internet. The patch DOES NOT FIX THE FREEZING ISSUE FOR OFF LINE PLAY.

I have a 60gig PS3, got it Nov. of 06. I'm using the regular Ol' G Sixaxis.

I had previously skipped the cut-scene and was able to play enough to get to Roman's apartment, and surprisingly enough I got through that cut-scene as well. I had saved it and tried to do the next mission but right outside it froze.

The background of my PS3 seems plain cuz I had formatted the HDD before I got that far, didn't really help.

Things I Know

1) It's happening with all types of PS3 models as well as the 360.

2) As you saw deleting the files for GTA 4 doesn't do shit.

3) The type of controller doesn't matter, Sixaxis or DS3.

4) Freeing up space on the HDD doesn't help either.

5) The CD is perfectly fine, no scratches or dust on it. I even exchanged the game twice. Same result every time.

6) Turning off auto save doesn't help either.

7) Cooling isn't the problem.

8) Disabling the internet works for some, but not for me.

9) Deleting the Cache and the Cookies didn't help either.

10) Turning off the Information Board Banner doesn't help.

11) Turning off the PS/PS2 Upscaler or the PS/PS2 Smoothing doesn't help.

My Theory.

GTA IV is over running the RAM and causes the whole console to crash.

I disabled the comments because I wasn't getting any information about the freeze in fact all I got was a bunch of fucking fagots arguing on what console is better.

Ok people I'm not here trying to say 360 is better than PS3 or PS3 is better than 360. In fact they both have their own problems and they aren't perfect.

The reason why I posted this video is to inform people that this is really occurring because a few people stated that the 360 fans were in the forums making up crap about GTA 4 freezing up the PS3.

I just want to find a fucking solution to the problem not an argument.
