Cam Janssen's cheap hit on Tomas Kaberle that received tremendous scorn from the Leafs fans and Sportsnet announcers.

Oh wait.

Wrong play! They just seem so similar!

  • Then it was. Now, not so much. When I watch some of the vintage games on NHL Network, the game looks entirely different what with the rule changes ... some for the good, but in my opinion, most of them for the bad.

  • Whos the meathead who captioned this video. Clark gave Chelios a clean hit to the chest, while skating straight at him. Where in Janssen's hit, he solely jumped and hit Kaberle's head. Get the cock out of your eyes and be more observant.

  • 0:18 "you gotta be a man to play in this game"...i wish they could say that now about hockey, too bad that doesnt apply to hockey now a days... hardly any hard hitting, its like figure skating for God sakes

  • @raptors11111 lol chelios was looking for a smelling salt

  • Captain Crunch nails chelios and the Hawks are gone in six!

  • These are my favorite anouncers...are they still broadcasting ?

  • ...annihilated!!!

  • I miss the old NHL so much!

  • Right now that would be a late hit but back then this would be a perfectly good clean hit.

  • Such a late hit. Respect to Chelios for getting back up and not looking for a fight or anything.

  • @RockyHooligan Clark was a middle weight who fought heavy weights!! I can't believe you think he picked on smaller players because he fought every single heavy weight in the NHL. In fact, I can't remember Clark fighting somebody smaller than him. He was only 5 foot 11 inches and 200 pounds, and he was fighting players that were 6 foot 5 250 pounds. Pound for pound, Clark was the toughest player in the NHL

  • The Jannsen hit on Kaberle was a head shot!! Clark put his shoulder right into his chest!! The game was a hell of a lot different back in these days, so don't compare the two hits!! Also, Chelios was a dirty player, he was just getting what he deserves!! Just like when Tucker got hit dirty with no call, what goes around comes around

  • he gets up and instant face palm
