Trying out some power wheelies on the 03 Yamaha R6 in Santa Barbara.

do you know what a power wheelie is retard? its all the engine, no clutch involved. ATVs are for rednecks and cousin/sister fuckers

@WwAste thats it!! you did the right thing bro, just take it easy and wear proper gears, open throttle up to 7000 - 9000 rpm close and open it again, dont over accelerate and make sure your foot covers the brake..

@anthonyjperri I know this is old... but it would be almost impossible to do a power wheelie in 6th gear... but lets say you did. You would be going over 120mph.... do you want to loop it, or get a nice tank slapper that fast? Nahhhh. which is why 1st and 2nd power wheelies are the best, and you have the best tourque.

do you just give full throttle or do you close it fast and then accelerate hard? do you have to sit more backward in order to get less weight on your backwheel?
i cant bring my r6 up just by accelerating.. but if i accelerate to ~9000rpm ,close the throttle and accelerate afterwards really hard the front wheel comes up..

@WwAste Exactly what you explained. I give it a small bit of throttle, close and then accelerate hard.
