Tragic. Those are the very people who contributed to making New York a cultured and magical place, who made the city a desireable place to live. They are part of the city's history and cultural capital. Now they being thrown out instead of being treasured. The exodus of artists from New York will take away its character and make it into just another 'any city'. New York City nowadays; is it Over?

The greedy rich pigs have destroyed NYC, ruined the beautiful historic building, torn down exquisite theaters, throw people into the streets. It is horrendous. The glory of NYC is dead and gone. What is left is fading fast. Heart breaking but these people have no hearts. When they die, they will pay for their crimes.

Just beautiful, heartbreaking but beautiful. What a barbaric world we live in. Glorious film.

I had my painting studio in Carnegie Hall from 1987 to 1991 - It was a magical, creative haven - a menagerie of artists, dancers, musicians and colorful eccentric personalities - all who seemed to fully appreciate the unique atmosphere we were privileged to be a part of. I just saw the movie Bill Cunningham and recognized the familiar faces and halls of that great monolithic structure that I only had in my minds eye for nearly twenty years. I am so grateful to have experienced the heightened cr

It's been happening all over New York, the last of the true artist, not money grabbing hipsters, have been thrown out and forced remove from there work spaces. It happened to myself, I used to have a loft on Church and Duane in Tribeca, all of us were evicted and the building in now a CO-OP for rich people. I left New York and now living in the Caribbean. The New York of art, culture, creativity, eccentricity, originality and quality is over.New York is just an oversized open aired shopping mall.
