This is a Maxant 3100 P Honey Extractor used to extract honey from honeycomb. The 3100 P will extract 6 medium or shallow frames or 3 deep frames. It is easily picked up and moved around. Probably weighs about 45 pounds. John Jones Stone Mountain Georgia

I would love to be able to go by for a visit. I understand that they have a showroom. Being that close I definitely would go by. Ask for Jake and tell him you saw his extractor on YouTube.

I have thought about that. However, once you see it work a time or two the window witht the view really serves no purpose. You can run it without the top. A little honey gets slung out but you could look and be OK.

Yes it is three. You need to be able to balance the machine as well as you can. If not it is like an unbalanced washing machine.

  • what is the minimum number of frames you can use? is it 3?

  • I just realized I live about 15 minutes away from Maxant Industries over in Ayer, MA.

  • wouldn't it make sense to have one of the top pieces be able to swap out with at plexi half - so you could see when the work was done?
