Who died and made you the Queen of Bellydance. Dancers come in all shapes and sizes so even if she wasn't quite obviously gorgeous she would still be a fantastic dancer. I take it you are having lessons, or know a lot more about bellydance than the average dancer!!

I will love a costume like that

I appreciate Sadie
but do not appreciate comparison between dancer. Especially when they are from different age and culture.
Do not forget that bellydance is a traditional dance from Middle East, not from America.. and dancer like Hanan and others laid the foundations for modern dancers ...
I find comparison ridiculous and useless

I also like some dancers from america and from other country. Not the country is making you a great dancer. If your coming from egypt doesn`t makes you automatically a better dancer. A dancer who shows her passion of dance and making small things great. Simply showing how to string together complicated technics is not passion. This is gymnastic and not a beautiful artist. Thats the difference. Even if the technics are complicated

She has a great charisma. I loved her style directly. Does anyone knows her contact data?

Zarakedanza, thank you so much for posting this routine of Hanan!
I had many clips of her in very old video tapes (back 80's) and I always love her style - simple and at the beat! That's what we can call a truly Egyptian belly dance style.. beside Fifi Abdo, Soheir Zaki and others from the past! Unfortunately, nowadays, dancers are getting too greed into Festivals, fusions.. there's too much "blah blah blah", in my opinion.. and something very important is getting missed: the pure joy of dance!
I came to this individual's videos cause he left some nasty-type comments on a video of two American dancers. Comment wise -- why is this style considered "classic" and raves about the costume. It all came from what Egypt or whoever designed it to be after it was glamourized by Hollywood. How was it done before the Chicago World's Fair? I'd say that era would have been the more authentic dance. I'm not cutting down this dancer, just thejudgmental comments made in general.
