Coming in out of the rain, Joe Crookston finished his set under the Acoustic Live canopy with a cover of Supertramp's "The Logical Song. Pat Wictor (seated) provides slide backup.
looks like everybody was havin fun...it always sounds better and more alive when ur really there...still though, sounds just fine and fun to me here where i sit in front of my computer....enjoyed, thanks for posting
Growing up in the 70s and seeing S Tramp live and now hearing Joe do this song live, wow great job! As much as I am not big on singer songwriter artists do covers I will include this cover done live as good as S tramps version. So before you rip into me and tell me I have no clue what I am talking about, well I have been to hundreds of concerts and folk shows. No I am not a groupie, just someone with an appreciation for music and the artists.
I don't see this Joe guy calling his cover "unique" as you say. It is indeed different because, well, it isn't S. Tramp.
Good or bad, it is different. I'm not freakin' out over it or anything. I don't see him or whomever has posted it saying anything like it "changes the feel" of the tune. Yes, this guy does want attention. He is a performer. Go figure? What do you think Ballcrammer, he wants people to run when he plays? Once again, let us hear your song you music god you.
Actually, I would love to hear a song that differs from the original, but this isn't it. What exactly makes this song different, it just sounds like some guy just put in a soft voice, added some legatos and called it unique. Either make your own song or make the cover sound unique, but don't post the video like it's changing the feeling of the song. Tribute my ass, this guy just wants attention...
Good to see Rich Deans, Fred Gillen Jr and even Amy enjoying this song under the rain!
