Aeon is an zen influenced experimental time lapse film documenting a day in the life and death of Wellington City, New Zealand. The film was completed as part of Massey University's Bachelor of Design degree in 2004 and is composed of over 50 hours of video, compressed into 13 minutes.

Aeon was isnspired from such films as Koyaanasquatsi, Baraka & Man With a Movie Camera.

Best Short Documentary at the DocNZ Festival 2005 & Best Student Film at the American Conservation Film Festival in 2007

  • Extremely cool. Surprised it only has 2 likes (one is mine) at the time of writing; deserves to have far more.

  • I have never seen more perfect editing in a film. This was magnificent. I thoroughly enjoyed every second, and plan to watch it many times, to catch all the images. Very thought-provoking, too, on an almost subconscious level. MANY thumbs up.
