  • For a J-Body, 150 horsepower would have been nothing to sneeze at. My Mom had an Oldsmobile Firenza with the base 2.0L engine...it didn't set the world on fire, but it was pretty peppy most of the time.

  • the transmission on the 1982-1988 Pontiac J2000

    Transmission

    4-speed manual

    5-speed manual

    3-speed automatic

  • It's no wonder GM was about to fold.... It produced crap like this for 30 years. Even now they can't compete with Japanese & Korean imports... Even ford has them beat... Though they are outpacing chyrsler.... The worst American car company.

  • @Doobie1975 The engine went out before 100K miles and we also had problems with the head gaskets.

  • @Doobie1975 Why was it a POS

  • (I'm driving a sunbird?) OH YEAH!

  • Dam they took the awsome lights/front end off the late 70s trans am - made it look shittier for the 80s & slapped it on that lol

  • Haha awesome

  • @voltron821 That's because the 80s wasn't a friendly era for power and performance, of course the cars from the 80s are much lighter than today's vehicles

  • My mother used to own a 1983 Pontiac 2000 and it was a POS, it was the base 2.0 Liter engine, you don't see too many of these cars around anymore
