Breaking News: War in Georgia. Georgian town Gori is now controlled by Russians

President Mikhail Saakashvili made the statement an hour after officials claimed Russian troops had captured Gori, about 60 miles west of the capital Tbilisi.


The news agency Interfax cited a Russian Defense Ministry official as denying the reports of the seizure.


But a top official at the Georgian embassy in Moscow, Givi Shugarov, said Russian troops appeared to be moving toward Tbilisi and he alleged Russia's goal was "complete liquidation" of the Georgian government.

@Muhammedloveskids Oh, that's a new history as I see. Enlight me, after which the Russian agression Finland was not willing to demilitarize the border? Hungary were nazi supporter. I don't feel sorry about them. Both Hungary and Romania along with Geramany had attacked USSR. You see, we even didn't touch them. They had begun it. Hungary was smashed by Russian troops when they wanted to be independent but Russia did not let them, Russia is not more peaceful then any other nation.

Chechnya was invaded because they were robbering our tade roots between Russia and Georgia. Since that time nobody gave an independence them. Warshaw members weren't invided. We gave them freedom from Nazism. But many of them were supporting Hitler. We are one of the peacefulest nations.

@Muhammedloveskids Yes-yes, and Russians eat children for breakfast. Russia was expanding toward East because of victories over the Golden Horde who invided us. Russia was expanding toward West due to the victories over Sweden Empire and Rzeczpospolita who also attacked us. And the South expansion was tied with Russo-Turkey wars. As usual, they attaked us.
