Before we begin, I would like to thank the Lord Jesus Christ for my life, and all the gifts which I've been given in it, including the ability to make this extension. Your name be glorified, my Savior, even in something as small as this. Amen.

Amateur Extension Theater 2000, bringing you the best extended music you may never have even known existed... or at the very least, were hoping to have extended. I'm Alkahest, your semi-somber host.

Developed by Level 5 for the Sony Playstation 2, Rogue Galaxy is an action-based RPG with some unique characters, interesting gameplay, exquisite graphics, and best of all, a superb soundtrack composed by Tomohito Nishiura.

Imagine, if you will, a world of great beauty and prestige. Her people dwell in floating cities, built in the style of castles held aloft by technological means far beyond those of their galactic neighbors. They were wanting for nothing; theirs was a pristine world, reputed to be the ultimate paradise.

But imagine further that a dark, terrible corruption infected their once idyllic world. One capable of twisting all life into monstrous, violent abominations, whose sole purpose in life is to spread their taint across the galaxy, irregardless of the destruction and death toll that will surely follow.

Such was the fate of the inhabitants of a world in Rogue Galaxy; to spare the galaxy that cataclysmic event, they used their technology to seal themselves, world, threat and all, in a prison from which none can escape. Thus began an endless, futile war against the contained evil... futile as no matter how many of its monsters they destroyed, the people could never hope to destroy the source behind them.

Little wonder the theme of their world is so melancholy, and sorrowful. But in time, one daring adventurer's journey across the stars may bring them a new hope... an end to their misery, and to the darkness they fend off, as best they can.
