Long overdue on Gorgeous' closed weaves, however, I think she's got it! I just need more time on her leg work.

Update on weave pole training - check out Handsome's weaves over a 150 feet away...

  • Have you tried changing the direction? You always enter from one way... muscle memory might be a problem later...... but maybe you just don't film it.

  • @CavalierHandler It was for video purposes.

  • @CavalierHandler Check out the videos of Handsome's Weave Poles 150 feet away. I think both are doing pretty good with weaves... no issues in competition.

  • I've taught my pup to weave, but she's still pretty slow compared to this dogs. Does the speed just come with practice, or am I doing something wrong? Your dog looks great btw! :D

  • @CharleiighChiing Gorgeous has a lot of drive and will do everything fast. Handsome on the other hand, is average but more consistent. I do not compare the two as they are not alike as you should with your dog. If you want more speed for your dog, make it the best thing on earth to go through those weaves. Have your pup run towards something after the completion. Eventually add an obstacle afterwards, so they won't pop up too early for that reward.

  • nice border collies :D

  • Thanks! They keep me busy.

  • @sugarismyhorse d'aww, as soon as he's old enough, you'll have to put some videos on here of him. It'd be great to see how he gets on. :D

  • @CharleiighChiing (: awee . And yeah, I have a 4 month old GS puppy >< I am patiently waiting for him to be old enough (:

  • @sugarismyhorse She's 10 months old now, so not quite old enough to actually start agility, but we've been doing light work just in the garden, and she's getting there. :D
