http://www.sycamoreeve.com Sycamore Eve is an imaginative and captivating short film about a young girl's effort to protect her planet's most sacred resource.
I nearly expected her to lift off on one of those fragments and another 30 seconds... Beautiful beginning. Was curious though what those little robots took the prism for? And the connection between them and the little girl? Did she make them to maintain an illusion of life, etc.?
It's intriguing, and has a good use of contrast, composition, and design. I'm currently majoring in Digital Design and Studio Arts myself. In my opinion, it speaks of enviromental issues or the way the world corrupts ( represented by dark colors, barren landscape, the machinery) beauty/nature/innocence (represented by bright colors, sparkles, mushrooms/trees) , and how we can change that. Of course, this is a metaphor piece, so it can be anything, but that's the way I see it.

Great piece. I suspect there is metaphor for what we are currently doing to our planet...
