Downsizing Flint

The city of Flint, Michigan has suffered much more from Globalization than the typical American city. Now residents try to make a new start with help from a city program of dismantling vacant houses, creative land re-use and concentrating the more viable neighborhoods. Cath Turner reports.

I like the garden idea. You can't tax it right there but a gov wouldn't have a problem adding a food tax or a taxed market. It's a shame that we don't see potential in growing food and would rather throw new houses in place.
