Please dont not let your guinea pig walk on wire base cage. their foot might get stuck and in some cases, they have to have their foot removed. You can put a layer of newspaper on the wire base. IT will help to reduce the danger and pain of it .
You may also put some fleece on top of the newspaper, guinea pigs love soft base. :D
