In one of his videos, Ken Wilbur describes the relationship of mind and world, accompanying this description with a particular gesture. The gesture, which indicates a cyclic motion originating in the body and moving outward, suggests a particular understanding of the relationship between these components.

  • wilber is technically correct.

Yes, I too have reservations about Wilber's repetitiveness. But understand, when you speak to a new audience, interview a new thinker, you have to lay out your conceptual foundations to others.

Nevertheless, I have been reading the excerpts posted at shambhala/wilber. Wilber is not your average thinker indeed.

Look for Wilber's video w/ JFK students, it will show you how much Wilber is aware, but that he simply doesn't say everything.

  • Thanks for subscribing, and your comments are welcome and useful. I will certainly look at the video you suggest.

  • So... Wilber and Wilbur are both correct spellings for the name?

  • Thanks you for the spelling lesson. Corrected.

  • The difference between realizing that you are nothing and that god is everything vs. realizing that you are god, and that you are everything. one is going from inside, realizing that the world is illusion, and the other is the realization that the self is the illusion, and therefore you can see the world.

  • Haha!

  • Enjoyed your stream of musings on Wilber - good mind. Each and everyone of us (see the paradox?) has a unique take and expression on 'this thing' we all find ourselves in. Kind regards

  • its not that fucn complicated. cant you see yourself creating it all so heavy. lighten up my man..

  • nice video. i share your "mixed feelings" for wilber quite much. actually maybe not so much anymore, i think it's safe to say he's a waste of time by now. but i had been thinking and discussing that particular reading of his of descartes too and i didn't get very far with it. this helps.. while i find a kind truth to his download of vedanta i still doesn't buy the transpositions of the definitions... anyway, you seem to have some nice videos, i'll delve into them slowly. nice last comment there!
