These are pictures and clips from my trip on November 8, 2008 to Lexington Kentucky. I got to meet a bunch of my favorite retired racehorses and take pictures of them, so I thought Id make a video so others can see them.

Heres some fun facts from the farms:
-Invasor has to have something in his mouth at all times (he loves his lead shank.)
-Its really hard to feed Jazil a mint because he always spits them out (thats why I tried.)
-War Pass in huge! He is one of the prettiest studs Ive ever seen. And hes completely healed from his fracture, for anyone who was still worried.
-Henrythenavigator is really well behaved for a horse fresh off the track. Hes been retired about 2 weeks and hes already a perfect gentleman.
-Birdstone is really small but really feisty.

Feel free to ask questions about the trip and please leave me comments. I love taking pictures of thoroughbreds (like might want to be a professional someday) so make sure to comment. 
Thanks, and hope you enjoyed!

PS- Sorry a couple of the pics were only on there for like half a second. It was some kind of glitch when I finalized the video.

  • Discreet Cat has got such a cute, inquisitive face! :) Thanks for sharing the video!

  • Seeing Discreet Cat was awesome. He was such a nervous racehorse (I remember once, his trainer said before his races he would shake like a leaf) so it was so nice to see him so calm and happy. He clearly loves the life of a stud. The people at Darley say he's got the prettiest face at the farm, and I have to agree! :)

  • amazing

  • Henry is so gorgeous. I was so happy to meet him. I really believe he ranks as one of the best looking racehorses I've ever got to see in real life. And he's so well mannered. Henry was the whole package. :)
