a "freestyle" in my terminology would be an off the top of the head rap or rhyme, but some artists spit pre-written verses in a freestyle cypher, in fact, many GREAT artists have done so, some artists can freestyle off the top, some need to spit already written joints. its apples and oranges to tell you the truth.

Word, I see, I live in Texas so I'm fairly sheltered here and haven't really heard of that sort of termonology used that way I just assumed the term freestyle in this instance was a freestyle cypher considering your piece on the same vid thread on your profile and then this foo's piece. like i said apples and oranges. some artists aren't as good off the top of the head, some are as good, it just depends on what they're feeling at that moment. i'm a HUGE canibus fan/follower and he was tearing up radio "freestyles" for years with pre-written verses some people think off the dome freestyles are too wild without any structure because you're runnin through your mind just sayin what comes first and going with it, so like i said, apples & oranges
