its not that a bunch of people just became saints fans because of the saints actually being good. I grew up in New Orleans and didn't really pay attention to football because it wasn't big in my family. When the hurricane hit everyone was looking for something to latch on to. I moved to Houston but I became of fan of the Saints since my freshmen high school year in 2006 because they were my only connection to home. I still live in Houston while i go to college but I love my Saints!

And you also wonder what would've happened if Drew Brees had been accepted as quarterback for the dolphins.

The Saints were always a threat because in all their years they never had a bad defense, just a bad offense, consequently most games ended with a score like 7-6. Even when we usually lost, it was not an exciting game. But the true saints fans were right there with them even then. A bunch of the fans only like us just now.
very good video. music adds so much effect. love it! btw, what is the name of this song?

@linkfan2015 The Only Moment We Were Alone by Explosions in the Sky (see the description under the video. Very moving tunes from a band that only does instrumentals, no lyrics)

Shadows from my past. They weren't winners like our present day Saints, but I loved them with just as much passion. They were our lovable losers and I was SURE every game they just might win one. Thank you so much for posting this video.

@doctorj2u2 I was always sure they had a chance too. Always tore me up when they lost. You'd see them play well for a game or two and wonder why they couldn't rise up to that level all the time. Too young to know why, then. So thankful now.
