"Originally created for Assembly 2006, Chaos Theory is a so called 64 Kilobyte intro, a traditional category of demoscene competitions. The demoscene creates computer programs which, when run, generate intriguing visual effects on a computer. These visuals are calculated at the same moment they appear on the screen, and most of the time are accompanied by fitting music - much like a video clip. In the case of a 64 kilobyte intro, all this has to fit into a single 65536 byte executable - the size of a 4 second mp3 song."

P.s. If U don't believe that all this could be squeezed into 64 KB then just download this intro and launch it on Your home PC.

I had to wait 5 long years to have PC powerful enough to run it without frame loss on maximum settings [ 1440X900 @ 60 Hz ] [ 16:10 ] with V-sync turned on....

AMD Phenom II X6 1055T @ 2400 MHz with AMD Radeon HD 6950 2GB.

I jsut found it in my email archive from 2006. This is one of the most incredible things you can do with assembler.

Think what you could obtain with the stupendous 7-10GB game and film sizes these days using the incredible skill of practically machine coding... ^_^
