Here we remove the oil pan on the 1929 Duesey and give you a close up look at the Fred Duesenbergs incredible engineering! When you look at the intricate casting work and the amazing innovation, it is hard to beleive that this was designed and built by a very tiny team of men in a few short years, over 80 years ago. Geniuses
Great video....thanks for taking the time to show this detail. My 1927 Nash Cabriolet has an oil pan with the same "half-circles" on each end. When I last had it off, I attempted to use the cork gaskets that a supplier sent in a gasket kit. I had to manually cut out a "U" channel in the cork to make it work. I then found out that Nash used felt and not cork. Did yours utilize felt also?

Thanks Joel for showing your Duesenberg , would love to see more of this car and the things you are working on. If you ever work on the steering wheel and horn button, control levers, I would like to see the way it is put together.
