these guys are good not a fire fighter but i try to understand the strategy etc its sad when towns are cutting fire men to save money people will die as a result

@dieni16 yes, everyone is always doing something even if they don't look like it. Some crews are given the job of RIC (Rapid Intervention Crew), where they literally just stand by in case of an emergency call from another firefighter.

There were a lot more people inside the building. Most of the guys outside are awaiting orders or in rehab. you never want too many people inside on fire attack. things can go very bad very fast and having too many people inside is too high of a risk. a building like this with fire attack in different parts of the building can cause confusion and communication problems. key is to always be attacking, so when 1 crew is outa air, another is right behind to take their place.

Oh I love hearing comments from people who never have fought a fire or atleast been in the gear. I'd like to give them 10 minutes in full PPE inside a structure fire and watch their view change. Its not an easy job as some of you know and to those that dont I'm sorry you see things the way you do.
