(Alternate cut with updated news and views). Will Richard Dawkins finally engage in a scholarly one-to-one discussion with William Lane Craig when he visits Oxford? It would appear not, and even some fellow atheists seem to think he's making a big mistake.

Happy to discuss with any parties about potential amendments, links or crediting. This video voices concerns - shared by both theists and non-theists alike - about impediments to the open exchange of academic thought. Indeed, as you will see, the primary concerns of this presentation arose from a secular source within England's own prestigious academy.

Lolz that's the universe dawg. I know it's fun to play the christian science fan, but you're still just a preacher minus the southern accent and mental retardation.

    1) I'm not even American

    2) I'm not a fan of Science.

    3) You should stop making crazy assumptions.

So why did he debate John Lennox?

  • @Judges815

"I am not sure I approve of philosophy as opposed to just making the faster (and better) decision of analyzing available evidence. "

Then you're not aware that you - personally - are endorsing a system of philosophy called "verificationism" or "logical positivism".

You are affirming that "we should only believe what can be proven with science". trouble is, THAT statement itself cannot be proven by science.

So, not only are you using philosophy, you've picked an irrational one.

  • I watched Craig in a couple debates. He's thoroughly sophistic, and you can tell he doesn't believe any thing he says, but just assumes that he's found a good argument. He takes different positions in different debates too, showing that he doesn't really believe in any of it, but thinks he's found something to defeat an adversary. It's really quite pathetic. And the arrogance in his voice is really obnoxious. Dawkins shouldn't reward his antics by taking him seriously.

  • @DastardlyDawkins Lolz dawg I was just giving William Lane Craig a hard time for a simple mistake. It's a funny moment in the video though. Whoever decided to highlight that has a great sense of humor. I'm not seriously implying that a simple slip takes away any of Craig's credibility. I was just being a d-bag. Mad trollololz and roflcopters.

  • I would just like to say that the clip where Dawkins was going to be "debating Kirk Cameron" he didn't know who he was until he had already agreed to the TV interview (note not a debate and the whole clip is on YouTube somewhere) and many of the "debates" shown aren't debates but clips from small TV interviews except for Lennox (for the TV interviews you can see off-camera extras of Dawkins asking them what's fair for him to edit in).

  • @DastardlyDawkins Not of me but making mockery of you. Nice Freudian projection you got going on there, I don't know if the debate happened down in MX or not but if you do and still making claims it never happened what the hell is your problem then? hmmm

  • @splicedenergy

The only debate thus far between WLC and Richard Dawkins took place at 'Complejo Cultural Universitario' in Pueblo, Mexico, on 13/11/2010.

Which kinda makes a mockery of your excuse, don't you think?

  • @DastardlyDawkins Actually I looked it up. He doesn't live in America. America doesn't show these debates on network television as they do in England. In England these debates happen regularly. Hitchens and Harris debated Craig because guess what? They are all Americans. Yes including Hitchens. Dawkins lives there and works there. If he is not promoting books there is no reason to fly to America just to debate a person 2 out of 3 wing men already took care of it.

  • @splicedenergy

"He debated Lennox because they are both Professors at the same university " - Did he tell you this personally?

Or are you simply embellishing and fabricating on the basis of your own opinion?

    Typical Atheist hypocrite.

  • @DastardlyDawkins Please continue to embellish and fabricate on the basis of your opinion. You'll get far (sarcasm) you just make stories up as you go along. Typical theist.
