NBC Universal President and CEO Jeff Zucker tells his side of the story regarding the late night controversy at his network.

Zucker was interviewed on CNBC Squawk Box by Joe Kernen, Becky Quick and Carl Quintanilla on January 20.

Zucker's microphone falls to the floor halfway thru the interview, which was kinda funny.

This interview concluded with a discussion of Comcast's planned purchase of NBC Universal, but that was boring so I left it out.

  • I don't know how the hell this guy keeps his job. Zucker should be FIRED for this mess. He is a disaster!

  • "11 o'cock news"?

Apparently speaking English isn't not a requirement for running a major US network.

  • Great job, idiot! I am glad he lost his job due to this mess.

  • start something new??!!! then why did u bring jay back fucking zucker BOYCOTT

  • Jeff Zucker has double letters in his name.

    [ASS]

  • wait? i thought NBC got mad at Conan for calling it a business decision. and right her Zucker says it's a business decision??

  • executive garbage.

    Conan is the future!!

  • The amount of times this goon says "obviously" makes me sick. The word he means to say is "obliviously". Obliviously, he forced Conan out of his gig. But that's alright, Conan took the coveted young adult demographic with him (obviously), and they'll follow him to wherever he goes.

  • JZ sounds like he's perfectly okay with NBC being ranked at 4th : / Why? WTF is going on in that guy's head?

  • If they'd just kept Jay and Conan in their respective timeslots instead of trying to shuffle things around, NBC would still have both their services instead of now just one. Horrible mistake.

  • I am 34, and hadn't watched the Tonight Show in YEARS. Conan made me a religious viewer of it. Soon enough Jay's audience won't be able to stay awake long enough to continue to watch the show. NBC F'd up Big Time!
