i dont think the analysis of the song is correct. i wish there was some one who wouldnt get torn down because they are talented, live their own life and succeed at what they do. you sound like what the kids call a "hater" to me. i played behind her whenever you came to the carter baron in washington, d.c. the song is about a woman asking her lover to be true and not let the fact that she loves him/her DONT LET IT GO TO YOUR HEAD. I think people should be able to feel proud about themselves.

@poppimack This is not an attack on successful people, it is just a way of reminding them not to abuse their fame. Not all people can handle fame or success some people let it go to their heads, and so I am saying you are to stay grounded and humble, because those whose heads fame has gone to, mostly fall overboard. The lyrics can use both ways for Love or for fame. Love isn't the only thing that can go to your head, fame, money, positon. Someone said below that Jean also endorsed my analysis.
