In 1923, Gennett Records sold ten special records for the Christmas season. They were advertised as "Ten Gifts That Actually Speak Your Christmas Greetings." Each recording had a special "Christmas Greetings" red label. The A side featured famous authors, humorists, and actors. The B side featured musical performances of holiday songs.

The mission of the Starr-Gennett Foundation is to promote and preserve the history of Gennett Records and its parent organization, the Starr Piano Company.

  • Fascinating!

  • One of my first Gennett finds was by the Criterion Quartette singing church in the wildwood and three o clock in the morning.
