MISSISSIPPI STATE COMMIT (06/2010) WR '11 DEVIN FOSSLEMAN (junior highlights)

Devin Fosselman is one of the best WR/ATH in the state of Mississippi. Last season as a junior (2009) he put up big numbers(47 receptions for 1035 yards and 9 TD's). He is a very explosive and exciting player who has great hands and a nose for the endzone. Devin works real hard at his craft spending lots of time focusing on route running and catching the football, yes this kid plays WR but is very aggresive to the football and he is also a punishing blocker. Even on defense where he did not play much he led his team in interceptions with 5. Comes from a good football background bother (Alvin Fosselman III played FB for Southern U.) ,Father (Alvin Fosselman JR played CB for Miss. Valley State. @GOgamecocks11 Well he he got Singleton and Brassell....Why????? Probably because State is stacked with receivers, and they might have had to compete to get even a limited role over the next couple of years....They will go straight into TSUN and play, and HDN likely told them that exactly..We got whooped on the recruiting....by ranking standards...but returning 16 starters from a 9 win season, and retaining 48 of our last 53 signees is dang good...HDN retains less than half..

Why would Devin want to go play for Houston Dale? Nutt would completely ignore his skill anyway and turn him into a down-field blocker. That old coot has never ever ran an offense that favored receivers in any way.

@cfowlerUM Mullen's offense needs receivers like Devin who is quick and will fight for the ball. It helps to spread the field. Houston Nutt isn't known as the "quarterback killer" for nothing. He's a good coach, I'll give you that, but he has no idea how to exploit all of the talent he has at any given time. The main reason Arky fans wanted to get rid of him was because he practically didn't have a consistent passing game - and that really cost them several games.
