I have a 85 6.9 and my friend has a 93 7.3 idi I have a c6 and he had a 5 speed and when we hooked em together his tranny exploded and I pulled him around the parking lot ya c6 all day

i agree turn up ur fuel pump and get a turbo i got a banks turbo in mine and its hauls ass and i turned up my fuel pump it took me 20 mins nice truck though man plus sunroofs are nice in that model i got one in mine

I have an 85 6.9 with a five speed and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. I love my truck. And I'm 17 too. My dad gave it to me. It's the explorer model with the ext. cab.

C6 is a damn good tranny. I got one in my truck and got the 9 inch rear end. It's fuckn indestructable since it can handle the abuse from a 17 year old haha.

@bigbaddeger Why say not a C6? The C6 is an absolute monster tranny and it is the best three speed auto ever made. The 4-speeds in Ford trucks of this vintage were awesome too. T-18, T-19, and NP435's were tough as nails.

ok im trying to put stacks on my 85 and i cant figure out how to do it, im running dual 2.5" pipes from the manifolds back. did you run it up through the bed and over to the sides or under neath the frame rails and up the sides of the bed?

mine is just one pipe from the factory y-pipe back then it goes up threw the bed and there's a y-pipe in there that splits to the stacks

hey those aint to fancy i toke the doors of a 1991 and a 1994 and i didnt label the wires it toke me 4 hours to figure them out, its nice that i dont have to lean over and wind the other window down, i believe ur the lucky bastard you got a turbo lol... thanks it serves its purpose
