  • A lot of buzz that this man will run against Christie in the next election for governor. Not sure myself-the way they have been getting along so far, I can see Christie asking him to serve as Lt. Governor sooner than I can see them against each other. But no denying, it would be fun to watch! Booker is that rarity: a Democrat with BALLS! If Corzine and Christie got ugly, Booker and Christie would be a brawl to end it all!

  • temporarily reduce some salaries across the board. decrease pool use to 65%. make sure the newark residents understand the status and still look forward for a miracle by the almighty. God is yet alive.

  • @TomMurphy28 - oh my- speak bishop.

  • A 7% tax increase is a bad idea in a recession no matter how you paint it. This penalizes people who are still working and paying into the system.

  • I can see them opening the pump like back in the day and staying cool in the middle of the street while we lose how many gallons per mins? Good going

  • I'll say it again, I am glad I live in NJ so I get a chance to vote against this guy.

  • When did Tom Morello become mayor? Fucking JK

  • Everyone wants to go to heaven, but no one wants to die.

  • Sounds like the voice of reason, right on target  and facing the inevitable cuts  that need to be made.

I wish our president viewed the US  budget deficit issues in the same way - as a crisis that won't be solved by simply raising taxes. 

  • For all of you that want the city pools to reopen, volunteer to keep them open or get a job in Newark and pay your taxes. Stop complaining about what you think you deserve. You are entitled to nothing except Life, Liberty, and the PURSUIT of happiness. Happiness is between you and God. Pools won't give it, nor will politicians. Stop looking to creatures, for only what the Creator can provide.
